FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ORDERING & PAYMENTS 

To place an order, simply get in touch with us via our ‘Contact us' page, social media, or email. 

We’ll ask for a few personal details to confirm your order and delivery costs, then send you a secure payment link via SumUp. If you prefer, we also accept bank transfers - just ask for the details.


As much as we’d love to, we don’t offer next-day or same-day delivery. All orders must be placed at least 3 working days in advance so we can source fresh blooms and give your flowers the love and attention they deserve. 


We currently accept payments via SumUp and bank transfer. Once your order is confirmed, we’ll send you a secure payment link or bank details - whichever you prefer.


Not yet - but it’s on our radar!  If you’re thinking of gifting flowers but aren’t sure what to choose, feel free to reach out - we’d love to help you create something thoughtful. 


We’re so sorry to hear you’re not happy with your flowers — we always want our blooms to bring joy. While we take great care to ensure every bouquet is fresh, beautiful, and delivered with love, we understand that sometimes things don’t go quite to plan.


Due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers, we do not accept returns. If your order arrives damaged or not as expected, please get in touch with us within 24 hours of delivery.


In certain cases, we may offer a partial refund or replacement bouquet, such as if:

  • The flowers arrive damaged
  • The wrong bouquet was delivered
     

All refund or replacement requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. To help us review the issue, please email a photo of the flowers and your order details to flowerpot.floraldesigns@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving them.


If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.


FLOWERS & CUSTOMISATION

Of course! We love bringing your ideas to life. While flower availability can vary depending on the season, we’ll always do our best to match your preferences. Just let us know what you have in mind when placing your order. 


Our arrangements are made with fresh, seasonal flowers—carefully selected to ensure quality and longevity. From time to time we may use dried or preserved elements for texture or style, but we’ll always let you know if that’s the case.


DELIVERY & COLLECTION

We currently deliver to Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Bedford. Free delivery is available within a 5-mile radius of the MK5, NN4, and MK43 postcodes.


If you're outside this area, a charge of 60p per mile will apply for every mile beyond the 5-mile radius. We’ll calculate any additional delivery costs before sending your final invoice to ensure you’re happy to proceed.


At this time, we do not offer a collection option. All orders will be delivered directly to your specified address. 


If no one is available to receive your flowers, our delivery team will make a reasonable attempt to leave the bouquet in a safe, sheltered spot. If this isn’t possible, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery time. To avoid this, please ensure someone is available to receive your order.


Please note:  A delivery fee will apply if a second delivery attempt is needed, and we’ll kindly request payment before rearranging. 


SUBSCRIPTIONS

Our flower subscription is the perfect way to enjoy a regular dose of floral joy! We offer a 3-month plan with one seasonal bouquet delivered each month. 

You’ll choose your delivery dates upfront, and we’ll take care of the rest. The bouquets will all go to the same address, so it’s a lovely treat to look forward to again and again!


To ensure we can provide the freshest seasonal blooms and plan our deliveries effectively, we do not offer the option to pause or cancel subscriptions once they’ve started. 


GENERAL

Yes - we absolutely love being part of weddings and events, big or small! Whether it’s an intimate "I do" or a full-blown celebration, we’ll create bespoke floral designs that reflect your style, theme, and venue perfectly.


We’re committed to making thoughtful, sustainable choices wherever we can. We source our  blooms from local growers where possible, avoid floral foam, and use recyclable or compostable packaging. We’re always exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact.


This can vary depending on the flower varieties and how they’re cared for. We include a care guide and flower food with every order to help you make the most of your blooms. 


1. Trim Your Stems

Give your flowers the best start by trimming each stem by 3–5cm at a sharp angle using clean scissors or secateurs. This helps the stems absorb water more efficiently, keeping your blooms hydrated and happy.

2. Give Them a Drink

Place your flowers in a clean vase filled about one-third full with room temperature water. Add the flower food provided—it helps keep bacteria at bay and gives your flowers a nourishing boost to keep them fresher for longer.

3. Refill and Refresh

Fresh flowers love a top-up! Every 2–3 days, empty the vase, give it a quick rinse, and refill with room temperature water. Re-trim the stems slightly before placing them back in the vase—this keeps them drinking well and helps prolong their life.

4. Pick the Right Spot

Choose a cool, calm spot for your arrangement. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, near radiators, draughts, or next to bowls of fruit. (Fruit gives off a natural gas that can cause flowers to wilt faster.)
